Picked in late march and fermented in open fermenters and aged in 1 year old oak for six months and then racked into stainless tank to settle and age. We did not wish to have too much oak influence so as to preserve the unique fruit flavours of Langhorne Creek. Purple and red in colour with a spicy black fruit nose. The palate is typical of Langhorne Creek with black fruit characters and intense spiciness. The palate lingers long and it would be ideal with a big juicy steak. |
