Black as ink to look at and on the nose it screams blueberries, crème de cassis, and liquorice, cedar, and spice box. The varietal definition is stunning with just the right balance of oak and fruit. We extended the oak contact to 14 months to add some tannic structure to the wine and we think this will cellar particularly well. An absolutely superb vintage and this is a classic Gotham. |
